Major pioneering study now available to the rich

The three stars is an average between the book itself (5 stars) and 1 star for the absurd price. Routledge' s prices on ebooks are way out of line with the rest of the market. They are publishing their backlist, thank you, great idea,and pricing it like it was published on gold leaf. Why? $40 would be a fair price, even that is 3-4 Times the price of an average copyrighted ebook. A reasonable price will lead to more sales, vs. no one buying it at all at this price. I don't like to think of this storied publishing house as greedy jerks-Routledge-get it together!
The book itself is a groundbreaking exploration of the influence of Thomas Taylor's 18th century translations of Greek theosophical writings from late antiquity on William Blake. Blake, belittled as an eccentric or mad for much of the last 200 years, was one of the most allusive and erudite writers in history. A condensation of this book was published as "Blake and Antiquity"- you can probably find it used for a few dollars. Raine, five stars. Routledge...
