About the Author
Greg is a happily married father of five wonderful children and is enjoying a successful career in professional publishing in the Washington, D.C. area. He earned a bachelor's degree in Geology and studied theology as preparation for ordained ministry -- then thought better of it. He loves Tolkien, the Dune books, Sherlock Holmes, P.G. Wodehouse, Mark Twain and C.S. Lewis when he's not reading history, philosophy or politics. He's always enjoyed long chats with friends over a beer or two about the issues of the day. Greg is a long-time home brewer (beer, wine and mead), an occasional jogger, a black belt, an avid writer, and enjoys camping and fishing. He lives in Laurel, Maryland.

Good value/quick read

It's a good read for the absolute beginner, I read the whole book in one sitting and it helps you learn all the terms and lingo of the at home brewer, the only reason I left one start out of it was because I wish the book was a little longer read, however it's a great buy for it's price and I definitely recommend it for those who are interested in home brewing.

Perfect for the first timer

I have been researching on getting started on home brewing and this book simplified it down for me. Some of the books were too technical for a beginner like myself. This definitely took some of the anxiety out of it for me and has me more excited to start my own batch!

Great guide to Home Brewing for the novice and beginner

I have thought about home brewing for several years, this guide was very informative and explained the process in very simple terms. It also did a good job of explaining the history behind home brewing as well as focusing on the art of brewing. A must read for anyone considering home brewing.
